Why the new Shadowbringers patch 5.3 Is going to be amazing!

I’m a massive fan of Final Fantasy XIV. It’s the only MMORPG I’ve ever been max level in, I actually care about the story enough to take time to read the dialogue. (I’m hella lazy and will not apologise) And, it has made me cry too many times. But I thought that I’d take a couple minutes to write something in dedication to the new patch that’s currently being implemented.

Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.3

Final Fantasy XIV is an MMORPG set in the world of Eorzea. The latest expansion out right now is Shadowbringers, which in my opinion is one of the best pieces of Final Fantasy content I have ever had the pleasure of playing. It has some jaw-dropping twists that add so much excitement and imagination to an already fantastic game. Plus with pretty much every piece of Main Story content being voice acted, it adds another level of depth to a story that just never stops giving.

Okay now that I’ve mushed over FFXIV for a bit I’ll move on to the actual nitty gritty of the latest patch.

This will contain spoilers! Sorry.

Main Scenario Quest

The Main Scenario content seems to span 11 quests, the names haven’t been released yet but I’m very eager to get to play them. If you’ve caught up you’ll know that the 5.2’s content left us on a bit of a cliffhanger, with it adding far more questions instead of giving answers. Don’t get me wrong though, they’ve managed to do such an amazing job with the previous patch that it doesn’t feel annoying or contrived when they add something new we’ve got to deal with.

However the trailer for the new patch looks like we’ll finally be getting some big answers to questions about Ardbert/Elidibus and that whole messed up affair. And hopefully some more stuff surrounding Zenos Yae Galvus and the imperials.

And with the new Nier raid on top of all that, it seems to me this could be the best patch yet.

If you haven’t already, you should definitely check out the trailer for patch 5.3 because it offers some amazing content updates and world updates.

Flying? In Eorzea?

So with all the new content that’s been added, we’ve also had a neat new update for the starting zone areas, all mounts can now fly in all A Realm Reborn areas, as long as you’ve finished the Main Scenerio quests up to a certain point.

Apparently I’m not the only who’s been begging devs to introduce this, especially since flying has been apart of Final Fantasy XIV since Heavensward.

I’ll leave the rest up to you to explore, I don’t want to spoil too much. But if you’re wanting to check out the rest of the updates and not just the main ones I’m super excited about, I’ll leave the link here.
